Best Sci-Fi Books of 2024
Empire is by far the best litrpg in my opinion. That whole series is legit.
Couldn’t agree more, the Unbound series is peak for LitRPG/Progression fantasy.
Nicoli is also super engaging with the community is heart warming to see.
Best of the best
Of all of the entrants, Randolph Lalonde is my favorite. I’ve been reading his Spinward Fringe series since 2011.
Coyote song was such an amazing read! Seriously D.J. Molles is one of best authors of all times. 🙌🏼
I agree. It’s probably my 2nd favorite in the entire series. I’m still not over it.

Enthralling and action-packed adventure with Task Force Hammer. True to his signature style, this book is a masterful blend of humor, suspense, and relentless excitement, keeping readers engaged from start to finish.
The story takes us on a high-stakes journey with a ragtag team of relatable and memorable characters, each bringing their own quirks and strengths to the table. Alanson’s ability to craft a diverse ensemble cast shines through, as their camaraderie and teamwork form the emotional core of the narrative. The dialogue is sharp, witty, and often laugh-out-loud funny, providing a perfect counterbalance to the intense action sequences.
The pacing is impeccable, with every chapter driving the story forward without feeling rushed. The stakes are high, and Alanson’s vivid descriptions make the danger feel palpable. Whether it’s a fierce battle or a quiet, reflective moment, the writing immerses you fully in the world he has created.
One of the standout elements of Task Force Hammer is the world-building. Alanson has a knack for creating complex, believable settings that feel both expansive and intimate. The interplay between technology, strategy, and human ingenuity adds depth to the plot, making it not just a story of survival but a tale of resilience and resourcefulness.
Fans of Alanson’s Expeditionary Force series will feel right at home with his trademark blend of science fiction and humor, but Task Force Hammer also serves as a great entry point for new readers. It’s a book that entertains, inspires, and leaves you eagerly anticipating the next installment.
In short, Task Force Hammer is an unmissable read for fans of sci-fi, adventure, and expertly crafted storytelling. Craig Alanson has once again proven why he’s one of the best in the genre. Highly recommended
Where is the latest Bobiverse book?
I cannot possibly take this seriously if it doesn’t include the Bobiverse.
I consider Dietmar Wehr One of the best Scifi / space opera authors.around. I have read every book he has written at least twice and every one I refer to his works has praised the as top tier. I especially like the way he portrays AI characters. If you have not tried his work you are missing out on a real treat.
Michael Coleman
Grand Theft AI by James Cox blew my mind. What a debut!!
My favourite author by far this year has been Jeremy Robinson. All of his audiobooks that I have listened to on Audible have been an exiting, edge of my seat, rollercoaster ride. He is a prodigious writer who has many titles to explore and explore them I will. My only hope is that he can write and publish new titles faster than I can read them.
Grand Theft AI is a MUST READ for any Sci Fi / Cyberpunk enthusiasts. This book is a page turner and hard to put down. I was very impressed at the skillful and engaging story telling from the Author. Great detail to character development and easy to understand explanations of futuristic vernacular. I highly recommend this book.
