Sometimes the best characters in our favorite books aren't the ones who get top billing; often, they are secondary characters, or those who shine despite time among a large cast. If you are like us and have dreamed of seeing your favorite secondary or ensemble character get their own spin-off book or series, this week's poll is for you!
Add your picks to the poll below, or to the one in our Facebook group. This round, you can nominate and vote for as many characters as you'd like; we'll pin you down to one selection next week.
*As alway this list is made up by combining votes from this blog and our Facebook group.

No, I don’t want to discuss it. I chose the only interesting characters (that didn’t die), and fellow voters failed to recognize their greatness. The very least they (YOU) can do is read the entire EarthCent series by Foner. The books are far more worth your time than the trashy novels by Heinlein (only his YA books were good).
Agree strongly that the EarthCent books are wonderful reading. Not sure I would call Heinlein books trashy, but he did tend to trample on sexual mores of his time. The Aliens of Earthcent tend to be puritanical in viewpoint, and I have recently come to largely agree with the idea that teenage sexual liberation is insane. However my solution would be to use medical means to render the males either temporarily sterile or temporarily impotent until age 25 or so.
