I still say that the “In Her Name” series by Michael Hicks is definitely well worth reading. Even when you finish the last book you want more.
I agree. I have all of the books in the series and read them again several times.
The Foreigner series by C.J.Cherryh is another good series, as most of her works are.
Love her stuff. Started with the Morgaine gate series. Cherryh is a magnificent writer, I’ve read almost all and wish there was more!
The Star Force Series by B.V. Larson should not be left off the list. It is a real winner, starting with the initial attack on Earth. Always exciting!
Where is Larry Niven’s “Known Space” series; Philip Jose Farmer’s Ringworld or World of Tiers (or even his Wold-Newton pastiches); or Gordon Anderson’s Dorsai series (arguably the original military SF series).
Where is Barsoom or Lensman series that probably inspired so many.
More importantly where is the grandfather of them all: Future History by Robert Heinlein.
